She hopes to soon expand her range to include dog chew toys. Handsome Hound Creations are sustainably made on her Singer sewing machine with vintage and rescued fabric remnants.

Karen has her dad to thank for her quirky business name...it's her childhood nickname. It was during this 1970s childhood that she learned to sew, started reusing things before it became "a thing", and began her lifelong appreciation of vintage fabrics and vintage style. Fast forward a few decades and these loves have merged and resulted in the sustainable business that is Tootsie Handmade...rescued, repurposed, reloved. Tootsie produces one-of-a-kind homewares and accessories made with vintage and reclaimed fabrics. Her favourites are bright and bold designs from the 1960s and 1970s, producing eye-catching cushions, bags, clutches and glasses cases.
